When we register candidates, we are looking for candidates to demonstrate a professional manner with a true passion for working with children. As a mother of 4 I would want individuals who show a real respect, warmth and fondness for children to be looking after my children, so we are looking for this when sourcing candidates to work in early year settings. However, we believe this should be coupled with a professional approach and a team-work mentality. Excellent communication skills are a must as all EYP’s will be needing to interact with parents and of course other members of the childcare team. The ability to inspire and encourage children who are placed into their care is a must.
By fully screening applicants our aim is to save you valuable time and to enable you to select the right staff for your particular setting. Although we aim to screen candidates to the highest standards, we do believe that employers should be given the opportunity to meet as diverse a selection of candidates as possible for a particular role themselves.
